WORLD CUP 2014: Stephen Keshi Speaks After France Vs Nigeria Match

Super eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi has spoken about the outcome of the France vs Nigeria match which ended with a defeat 2-0 which resulted in Nigeria failing to enter the next round.

Stephen Keshi who had before the game said: “My Boys Will Deal With France“ when asked by BBC correspondent Shina Okeleji after the game if he will be staying on as coach replied saying:I dont know.

Keshi said: It was an important match, I dont think we deserved to lose but thats football.

We have shown we can compete at a high level, everyone saw it and I have no regrets.

We played well even in defeat. My future? At the moment I dont know. I still think we can improve a lot, we have a lot of young playershe said.

Nigeria Out Of World Cup As Team Loses To France

Nigeria are out of the World Cup championship holding in Brazil after a 2-0 defeat by France. With the victory over Nigeria France have progressed to the quarter final and will meet the winner of the match between Algeria and Germany. The first half of the game ended goalless after a goal by Emmanuel Emenike.

Overview Match number 53 is the fifth match of the knock- out stages. France won 2 matches and drew 1 to collect 7 points to finish on top of Group E. Nigeria, on the other hand, won 1 match and drew 1 to collect 4 points to finish second in Group F.

France: France’s performance in group stages was quite impressive. This is especially significant because there were several big European teams which failed to perform well in the tournament. Spain, Italy, England and Croatia failed to qualify for the “Round of 16″ while France, which had a poor run at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, has been brilliant. France scored 8 goals in its first 2 matches. Karim Benzema has been playing well, scoring 3 goals in the first two matches.

The third match, however, was a striking contrast of its first two matches. The match against Ecuador ended in a goalless draw even though France had numerous opportunities to score.

There could have been 8-9 goals in the second half itself but there seemed to be a strange French inability to score. As we go to the knock-out stage, France needs to get back to its goal scoring approach.

Nigeria: Nigeria won against Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-0 and had a goalless draw against Iran to collect 4 points. However, its best performance came against Argentina even though it lost it 2-3.

Historically, the African team has an uncanny tendency of being in Argentina’s group. Its best performance often comes against the South American team.

Nigeria played excellent football and scored goals soon after Argentina did. Vincent Enyeama, the Nigerian goalkeeper who was the man of the match in 2010 world cup match against Argentina, played brilliantly again and denied several goals. Ahmed Musa was fabulous in scoring two brilliant goals to match Lionel Messi.

Meet Nigerian Pastor, Founder Of Ritualists Church In Lagos, Ernest Nwankwo (Photos)

Meet Pastor Ernest Chukwuemeka Nwankwo, the founder of Holy Family Ministry also known as House of Mercy in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

Last wednesday, his evil act was exposed when a member of the church was caught with a missing child. Eight victims were also rescued last week. Since then he has disappeared into thin air.

Pastor Nwankwo started his ministry in July 1997. He was born in Onitsha on the 3rd of November 1964.

He is the founder of Happy Family Home Foundation International in Lagos and Anambra.

Charley Boy Disgraces Gov. Okorocha At Father’s Burial

The first son of late Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, Charley boy, yesterday disgraced Governor Rochas Okorocha at an Arequiem mass organized for his father in Imo State.

Chief Okorocha, was stopped midway into his speech, by Charley Boy when the Catholic Bishop invited him to the alter to pay his tribute to the fallen judge. Charley boy walked up angrily to the altar, snatched the micro-phone from the governor, and yelled at the Bishop for giving him the micro-phone to pay tribute to his father.

A lot of people have said, Charley boy decided to disgrace him, when his government allegedly said they gave his family N20m for his father’s burial, which is far from the truth. Charley boy hasn’t said anything since yesterday’s incident, but the State Government has described the incident has Ugly and regrettable. They also accused Charley boy for working for other parties who are against Rochas administration.

“It is highly regrettable that the son of the late Justice, Mr Charles Emeka Oputa, aka, Charley Boy, threw caution to the wind and turned the church service into a political theatre that saw him acting or playing out the script he drafted in Abuja with some Imo politicians, who have remained cowed by the overwhelming popularity of Governor Rochas Okorocha”,

”We condemn that ugly incident and also wish to advise politicians from the state to stop heating up the polity over power since God is the giver of power. In 2015, God will decide who will be governor of Imo State and when God decides that, there is nothing anybody can do about it”, Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Media, Mr Sam Onwuemodo said.

He also insisted that, the state government made substantial financial input and also organized a special day of tributes for the late Justice at the expense of state government with Charley Boy and other members of his family present.

He however did not make any reference to the N20m said to have been given to the family.

Luiz Suarez returned to his native home of Uruguay yesterday June 27th to a hero's welcome after being booted out of the World Cup and banned from all football for four-months for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini. Not only were hundreds of fans at Montevideo airport to welcome him, waving banners of support, but the president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica, was also at the airport.

Meanwhile, Giorgio Chiellini is not happy about FIFA's decision to ban Suarez for four months for biting him, a decision Uruguay says they will contest.

On his official website, Chiellini criticized the punishment, calling it excessive. What he wrote below

"Now inside me there's no feelings of joy, revenge or anger against Suárez for

an incident that happened on the pitch and that's done. There only remains the

anger and the disappointment about the match. My only thought is for Luis and his

family, because they will face a very difficult period. I have always considered

unequivocal the disciplinary interventions by the competent bodies, but at the

same time I believe that the proposed formula is excessive. I sincerely hope that

he will be allowed, at least, to stay close to his team-mates during the games

because such a ban is really alienating for a player."

Musa netted two goals for Nigeria who eventually lost 3-2 to the Argies, although the Eagles still qualified for the Round of 16 where they will now meet Les Bleus of France on Monday. Nigeria started the encounter in virtual disarray while trying to size up the Argentines. But it took inspirational Lionel Messi only three minutes to intimate the Nigerians of the storm ahead when he rifled a stray ball on his path just outside the Nigerian box. Musa responded 40 seconds after, curling in a well-weighted pass from Michael Babatunde who raced from the Nigerian half. Musa did well to beat on rushing Argentina defender Pablo Zabaleta before the ball rested in the net. Enyeama failed to stop Messi on the stroke of 45 minutes as he scored his second goal of the day, cleverly playing in a free kick that sent the Eagles’ goalie confused as he watched the ball sail into his net. Two minutes after break, however, Musa leveled score to give Nigeria any hope of recording an upset result. Five minutes later, Argentina defender, Marcos Rojo, was teed up to score the third goal for his team. Meanwhile, Bosnia rose on the last day to a 3-1 win over Iran to take three points home after losing the first two games. Chris Brown rejects plea deal in D.C case, headed for trial

Chris Brown has tasted jail and no longer seems afraid of it. He was in Washington D.C yesterday for his assault trial and rejected a plea deal with prosecutors…and now he’s headed for trial. TMZ reports that Chris was close to copping a plea but the deal fell apart because the prosecutor and Chris’ lawyer couldn’t agree on a statement of fact about the events leading to the alleged assault.

Chris has always denied assaulting a fan in 2013 outside a hotel in D.C. If

he’d pled guilty, he would not have to serve any additional time in jail. Now that

he’s going to trial, jail time is on the line again. His bodyguard has already

been convicted of the assault. A trial date has been set for September.

This was revealed by 2Face himself while speaking at a Cancer charity event which held at Eko Hotel recently. Music fans were shocked a while back when word got out that Mr Idibia Snr was diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer. Speaking on the development, 2Face said: “He is fine and there is really no problem. He was diagnosed early and he has started the required treatment. He will be fine. It is just one of those things. The family will get through it.
